How the calculation works
A precision of 2 means hundredths, 0 means whole numbers, and −2 means hundreds. Nearest rounding sends exact halfway values away from zero.

With precision 2, 1.005 rounds to the nearest 1.01. With precision 0, −1.5 rounds to −2.
Ceiling rounds toward +∞ and floor toward −∞. Truncation removes lower places toward zero. Select the method required by your task.
