Parentheses and powers come first, then multiplication, division, and remainder, then addition and subtraction. Powers associate from right to left.

The expression (12 + 8) * 3 / 2 gives 30. Use * for multiplication, ^ for powers, and a dot for decimals. The % symbol means remainder.

For example, -2^2 gives -4; use (-2)^2 to square a negative number. Scientific notation such as 1e3 is supported. Calculations are limited to JavaScript number precision.
