Inputs
- Principal
- Annual rate, %
- Duration, years
Calculation details
At 1,000 principal, a 5% rate, and two years, interest is 100 and the total is 1,100. Previously earned interest does not itself earn interest.
Enter 0.5 years for six months. Contracts based on actual days can use different year bases; convert the duration according to your contract.
